My first time on Q at PHOP and just my second time on Q. I was excited to Q this location since it is one I frequent due to the proximity to my house. I didn’t know how I was going to incorporate the gear so I just made some stuff up. Why not!? Plus I like to run too.
That being said we warmed up with Hill Billy Walkers, Merkins, LOR and ROL
We moseyed across the street for one lap around the neighborhood. Then did LBC’s once we made it back down the hill. From there we found some wall for peoples chair with a 20 count plus 20 Merkins OYO and then back to the parking lot.
Grab a partner. Partner one flips tire while partner 2 does a burpee and continue to alternate all the way across the field and back.
Ladder workout in adjacent parking lot with blocks. 10 squats at one end 1 Merkin at the other and carry your block back and forth.
If you have been getting up in the gloom for any amount of time now you do it because you find delight in it. But your delight isn’t always in the sweat, burpees, merkins, or running etc. Without each other all of these activities could feel like empty tasks. But with each other it is a constant reminder that we have an opportunity to make the next man beside us better. And without accountability to one another the opportunity to do so would not exist. It is discipline that bridges the gap between our ability and progress.
The same is true in our relationship with God. We have to
excercise spiritual disciplines to know Him better and become more like him. Psalm 37:4 says, “Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart.” May our workouts each morning be a reminder to us all that we need to work out our Faith and spiritual lives as well. If we can find time to workout at 5am we can find time for Him!
