Ten men gathered in the gloom this morning to fight the cold and the sad clown.

YHC had scouted a path and developed a plan. It had it all- intervals, trails, hills, and burpees.

Tha Thang:

1 minute stretch/warm up OYO

Wheels up- We moseyed about a mile to the aquatic center and did some light pole fartleks then we hit the trail.

About 5 feet of it.

Over to the neighborhood clubhouse to outline our main activity for the day.

This neighborhood is shaped like a pentagon- 5 left turns will bring you back to the clubhouse. Each time we returned to the clubhouse we added an activity to the bootcamp.

Take a lap.

10 Burpees

Take a lap.

10 Burpees, 20 swing set merkans

Take a lap.

10 Burpees, 20 swing set merkans, 30 LBCs

Mosey back to the AO.

All together we ran about 5 miles and got some great mumble chatter along the way. I was not the only one with frozen hair at the COT, it was a cold one this morning-16 degrees.

I really appreciate the push men. I know that to a lot of people the New Year represents a new set of goals, most of which will be abandoned before March rolls in. The parking lots of gyms will soon be abandoned and their weight machines will no longer have lines.

F3 is no gym.

We hold one another accountable. We will support one another when the times are hard. We will rejoice when times are grand. We can only push one another and make sure that we are ready when our opportunity to lead comes. We will rise together when the time is right and be a light in what often seem to be dark times.

1st Peter 5:6 “Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in time.”

Thank you for joining me, for pushing me, for pulling me. I am continuously excited and humbled to be a part of this community.
