8 Strong HIM’s decided to join YHC this warmer morning in early January for a Pearls on a String bootcamp. As always, YHC was honored to lead this fine group of men through the gloom and around Eagle’s Nest. After the F3 disclaimer was given we were off with the warmup. Thank you to Anchor Bar for the opportunity.
All exercises performed in cadence: Side Straddle Hops, Low Slow Squats, Carolina Dry Docks, Merkins, Peter Parker Peters. We then began to Mosey.
The first mosey ended in front of Tillman Hall at the American flag where Padeye led us in the Pledge of Allegiance. After the pledge YHC led the PAX in the following exercises all in cadence: Merkins, Wide Arm Merkins, Diamond Merkins.
We then took another mosey to the Eagle statue in front of the University and performed the following exercises in cadence: Squats, Sumo Squats, Lateral Lunges, & Low Slow Jump Squats.
Took another mosey to Scholar’s Walk alternating between Lt. Dan’s and lunges between light posts to the first set of stairs. We then went to the bottom of the steps to grab a coupon of the PAX’s choosing. We performed the following exercises in cadence: coupon curl, tricep extension, overhead press, and 10 Man Makers (OYO).
Took another mosey to Hardin Garden where we performed the following in cadence: Irkins, Derkins, Dips, & Step-Ups.
Then we took one more mosey back to the COT where we had some ab lab with the following exercises in cadence: V-Ups, Flutters, Rosalitas, Big Boy SitUps, LBCs, Supermans.
I have recently been in a slump when it comes to enjoying the time I am spending at F3. It has been difficult to post consistently and to be excited about it when I do. The only thing I can do at this time is to lean on my brothers and change my perspective on some things. I need to step up to make the change and not expect F3 to change for me.
This is true in life as well. We will all get into ruts in all aspects of our lives. When this happens, we should evaluate what is happening and do our best to change our perspective on the circumstances we facing. We can also lean on others, especially our F3 brothers to talk to and gain insight from. But most importantly of all, we can lean on our SkyQ during these times to ask him for endurance and strength to get through these times. He will also help us change if we feel the need to. All we have to do is ask and He will answer.
Our Region is collecting clothing and blankets for those in need. See Facebook announcement for details.
