Name a rama

I saw an open spot on the Q schedule for Wall Street looking through the newsletter so………..I just filled in my name!  My first time at Wall Street so I was looking to make it my own this particular morning and hopefully offer something that was worthy of the PAX rolling out of the fart-sack.

The Thang:

Run down India Hook and stop at the steep entrance to Westminster Gym Parking lot.  Hill Repeats with 11 Merkins at the top and 1 Bobby Hurley at the bottom.   Alternate until reversed.  PCH and Jag accompanied me on this fabulous hill.  Jag is a beast!  RESPECT!  This steep incline got the blood pumping and the PAX awake.  Plank position while waiting on the six and then we were off again.

From there we continued our run to Winthrop Drive next to Oakland Baptist Church where there exists another hill that needed some attention.  Same sequence as the previous but with Merkins at the top and JumpSquats at the bottom.  Mumble chatter consisted of the going price for an original transformer figure which is (PCH has one of these) $150.00!!!  I clearly remember playing with transformers on the kitchen floor as a kid.  I have no idea where that piece of gold is now!

At that point I was reminded we had 14 minutes.  Thank you PAX for the heads up because it is easy to loose track of time when having fun.  So…..we continued our run to Cherry Road and looped around the block back to Oakland for the home stretch.  This made for some nice Hill Repeats, Boot, and 5-5.5 miles of running.

We arrived at the COT a few minutes late so we gathered swiftly.  Sorry if I delayed anybody this morning!

Getting up early is difficult.  Getting up early consistently is even more difficult.  I have been learning this in my personal life with time management at work.  If I can build good habits and force myself to implement them they will become the norm.  The hardest part of creating good habits whatever they are is consistency.

The same applies to our spiritual lives.  If we don’t consistently give and start our day with Him IT. WILL. NOT. HAPPEN. ON. ITS. OWN.  If we don’t discipline our bodies, minds, and hearts we will not change and we will always succumb to our earthly vessels.  The good news for me and you is that He is able where we are not!

Ephesians 6:10-18

10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. 14 Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace. 16 In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one; 17 and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, 18 praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end, keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints.
