3 @ Old Town for a 6 mile run

There were three of us that took a chance on what looked like could be a very wet sloppy morning.  As 0500 approached the rains diminished to a light mist with the temperature in the low 40’s.  It turned out to be a perfect morning for a 6 mile run.

The three of us did some stretches OYO before 0500, so after the disclaimer was given we were off.  Our tour took us up Oakland Ave to Cherry Rd with Ryder in the lead.  From Cherry we made our way over to the coliseum for a partial lap around Winthrop Lake.  While making our way around the lake we “didn’t” hear any train whistles.  Nope!!! No!!!  We absolutely did not hear the train whistles!!!  We made our way back to Charlotte Ave by way of the road that leads to Sumter Ave and then Sumter to Charlotte.  We made our way back into Old Town on Charlotte to Black Street, down Black to Dave Lyle, Dave Lyle to White and back into the AO.  We were right at 6 miles.  We had just enough time for 10 burpees for the train whistles we “didn’t” hear.  I tried to deny it, but I just couldn’t do it.

I shared a quick message in the COT.  Even though we can’t always be prepared for life’s trials, we can take comfort in knowing that God is always going to be there for us.  I have learned this through my own life journey.  It is also comforting knowing that we can share our burdens with our F3 brothers and they will be there for you.

We closed out the COT with the video name-o-rama, announcements and prayer requests.  I dismissed us with prayer.

It was a great morning to be in the gloom with my F3 brothers.
