Making much of Him

    • When: 03/21/18
    • QIC: Canseco
    • The PAX: Bill Nye, Kashmir

We had three at PHOP on this fine late March morning.  40 degrees, windy, and raining. It was perfect weather for sharpening iron with the PAX.  In elements like this we all find ourselves exposed to the raw power and wonder of our creator.  He can change everything in an instant.  It reminds us we are all but a vapor and on the same playing field.

The Thang:

Through the Parking Lot:

Hill Billy Walkers

Lt Dans

Toy Soldiers

Then we stretched:

Mosey around the church to the entrance.

We did a couple more stretches then assumed plank position.  A few honeymooners then back to plank then right hand to the sky and left.  Back to plank and 10 Merkins in Cadence.  All this was done in plank for the duration.

Mosey across the street where we found a seat against the stone wall.  Shoulders , knees, and toes in Cadence (20).  Then 5 Derkins with feet on the wall.

Mosey halfway up the neighborhood and pause for 10 Squats.  Mosey to the top and 10 diamond Merkins in cadence.

Mosey to the next corner for 50 LBC’S OYO and 15 American Hammers in Cadence.  Mosey down the hill and back to the stone wall for 20 Incline Merkins in Cadence.

Mosey back to the church entrance for  20 Irkins, 50 LBC’S, 6 inches (legs), American Hammers in Cadence.

I confessed this morning that I am guilty of making much of everyday things instead of making much of Him who has given me all things.  When I do this I allow life to dictate my joy and hope.

We often come to Him in prayer only when its convenient, or we are stressed and don’t know what else to do.  WE FORGET WHO HE IS AND WHAT HE HAS DONE FOR US!

We didn’t do anything to receive His grace and mercy so why do we often live everyday as if we did.  We received Him with nothing to offer and he has given us everything!

“Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him, rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in the faith.”  Colossians 2:6-7
