I noticed a bouncing headlamp and the stride of one IronSight coming across the parking lot so I knew I wasn’t alone. Then Herbie pulled in while I was getting out of the truck. Just had the feeling it was going to be a good morning….like a sixth sense. All you need is 2 to sharpen Iron and we had three so we got to it.
We ran one lap around Tech Park. Then on the second lap we visited several parking lots for the following:
In Cadence what we could….
6 Inches (Chest and Legs)
Carolina Dry Docks
And I’m sure I left 1 or more out.
Once the blood and sweat were pumping the conversation began to roll. Many questions were posed….
1) If you could do it all over what what would you do?
2) What if we made decisions in life NOT based on how others perceive us?
3) What if we lived life without fear or worry?
What would our lives look like if we did any of these much less all of them. As we discussed these thoughts we realized it’s not a matter of starting over but a matter of now. We need a wake up call on a daily basis. It’s easy to go through the motions and live life as society expects us too. We often crush our own ability/opportunity by listening to the wrong voices.
The reality is we have nothing to fear and everything to gain in Christ who has conquered our biggest fear……death! We shouldn’t hesitate to listen to the one who has secured our eternal future. What is He asking you to let go of or step out and do?
Philippians 3:7-8 English Standard Version (ESV)
7 But whatever gain I had, I counted as loss for the sake of Christ.8 Indeed, I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ.
