I have been reading in Genesis about Joseph recently and this stood out to me: A lot of tough things happened to Joseph. He was about 17 when his brothers sold him into slavery. He spent the next few years in a foreign country where he knew no one. He was then falsely accused of attempted rape and thrown in prison where he spent several years. After speaking to Pharoah’s cup bearer, and thinking he was going to be freed, he spent another 3 or so years before going before Pharoah. Scripture never tells us that God explained why all these things were happening to him – what God was preparing him for. But Joseph stayed faithful (I’m sure he had some moments of struggle and doubt) and God was with him (Scripture reminds us of this time and time again) even in the hard things. PAX, no matter what you are going through, remember to keep the faith. God will not leave you or forsake you. When things are hard ask, “What can I learn from this? How can this make me a better man?” Share with your fellow PAX and get a prayer warrior to intercede for you.
