The Thang
Steady flow of alternating muscle group pairing, partner work

We headed to the stairs at NWHS and the timing mechanism was running up the stairs, around the top and back down.  Cumulatively we had on deck;
1. 50 burpees
2. 100 merkins
3. 150 squats

Went around back to the rear parking lot and the timing mechanism was running to the far end of the parking lot around the handicap parking signs and back.  Cumulatively it was;
The running person of the team had to call an exercise to the person returning from the run. It was fun to see what people called and the other’s reaction.

Run back to the AO.  Various exercises called by everyone who posted, the creativity and quantities of reps went up as we went on

Boomer calf circle of death

Quick 10 count and then a jailbreak around the parking circle

Circled up again and went around the circle, each man called a five (5) count of whatever exercise he wanted

The 3rd F – You are not an Orphan
John 14:18 I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. – Jesus

How is your relationship with your earthly father?   This relationship will shape every relationship you will ever have.  Also, our relationship with our heavenly father is largely a projection of rejection of the relationship status with our earthly father.  There is so much christian books and other material outside the Bible on the Holy Spirit and Jesus Christ but there is very little on God our Father.  This is a modern day travesty of our churches and culture.  Why is this so important for you and I?  Because when we know who we are and whose we are, we operate (live life) from that identity and stop trying to find another identity in this world via career, $, marriage, children, possessions, sex, body image, knowledge, power,  (fill in the blank)

Many men join me in having a deep father wound and carrying an orphan spirit.  However, because of Jesuus’ work on the cross and the presence of the Holy Spirit that is always with us it doesn’t need to stay that way.  Jesus came to give life and life to the fullest (John 10:10) This doesn’t mean that circumstances will always be wonderful but this does promise freedom, if we receive the gift he has already given.
That father wounded-ness can come from an absent father, a father who dies young, a father who leaves his family, a father who is physically there but emotionally absent, a father who supposed to be safe but who is abusive, a father who is timid (passive) and doesn’t protect, a father who doesn’t provide.  We had a wonderful time sharing about our fathers both good and bad.  Many of the men there, enjoy/enjoyed wonderful fathers who loved them and was there.  However, there were also many men there that didn’t have that.  I encourage you to take that father wound to our perfect heavenly father and as for His help and healing.  Why?  Because nothing is impossible with God, that’s why.

Psalm 68:6 says that God is – “A father to the fatherless and a defender of widows is God in His holy habitation.”  God is on the throne in heaven but he very close to you and I.  He loves you and wants a deeper relationship with you. Take the good, bad and ugly to Him today and watch what He does!

Love to all,
