Not a Me, Myself and I Q!

    • When: 03/22/19
    • QIC: Jester
    • The PAX: Simba, Smokey, Herbie and Jester

With the so many PAX participating in the P200 this weekend, YHC thought for sure there would only be three PAX attending the 0500 Commons workout. Oh, for clarification, those presumed three PAX included me, myself and I. YHC thought for sure he would be going it solo this particular morning! It was a welcome surprise though when three other PAX not named me, myself or I came out in the gloom. Not only was YHC happy to not work out alone, but YHC was blessed with an unexpected reminder as to why F3 is so much more than a workout.

Here is how the whole thang went down after a brief disclaimer was given:

  • Warm Up:
    • Stretch Legs (left over right & vice versa to a 10 count)
    • Plank Position into Downward Dog to Stretch Calves & Back (10 count) move back to Plank Position
    • Mountain Climber Merkins – 10 in Cadence
    • Plank Jacks – 10 in Cadence
    • Moroccan Nightclubs – 15 in Cadence
    • Side Straddle Hops – 15 in Cadence
    • Seal Jacks – 15 in Cadence
  • Mosey to the benches in front of Burns Buidling at Winthrop:
    • Derkins (10 in Cadence), Dips (10 in Cadence), Merkins (10 in Cadence), Dips (10 in Cadence), Erkins (10 in Cadence) and Dips (10 in Cadence)
  • Mosey to coupon pile near the Lady on the Bench at Winthrop:
    • Overhead Extensions (15 OYO)
    • Chest Presses (15 OYO)
    • Curls (15 OYO)
      • Run up stairs with 10 Burpees (OYO) at the top, run to opposite set of stairs with 10 Bomb Jacks at the bottom…rinse and repeat 4 times.
  • Mosey back to COT for Ab Lab:
    • Crunchy Frogs – 15 in cadence
    • Flutters (with in the Air Hands Behind Head) – 20 in cadence
    • American Hammers with kettle bells (5 lbs., 10 lbs. & 15 lbs) – form a line and work the bells down the line until they make it to the end and back. PAX with heaviest kettle bell calls the cadence of 10.
    • Flying Squirrels (10 while running in place) at the COT to wrap it up.

After the thang concluded, the PAX went through announcements and finished with prayers being lifted for continued healing of coworkers and M’s of the PAX present. Last, but far from least, this brings me to the very end and probably best part of the day to this point.

We did lose one PAX who headed home after the announcements and prayers, but three PAX did remain for some unexpected mumble chatter (at least unexpected on YHC’s part, but greatly appreciated). YHC does not exactly remember what kicked the conversation off initially, but the conversation gravitated towards topics that required walls to be let down somewhat among the PAX which won’t be detailed here as they shouldn’t be. The point of disclosing this is that the conversation ended in dialogue centered on finding identity in Christ and no one else no matter the situation or circumstance one might be in or one might encounter down the road. And, this my fellow PAX, is one of the many things that make F3 so much more than a workout!

Smokey, I greatly appreciated the opportunity to Q this particular AO on this particular day. If it wasn’t for the invite to lead, I don’t know if I would have made it out this particular morning given the start of the P200.
