Cool Morning on the eve of the Hog & Coyote

    • When: 6/14/19
    • QIC: Ponytail
    • The PAX: Ponytail (R), JAG (R), Samurai (R), Sir Purr, Vuvuzella

It was a nice cool morning in the Gloom today at The Veteran as 5 PAX of the Rock Region assembled to run and ride.  3 runners and 2 cyclists gathered to sharpen some iron.  Samurai & Vuvuzella met at 0500 and laid out a plan to hit Independence – The Commons – Petra and ride this morning while the rest stayed back and ran.  Hog & Coyote is tomorrow so YHC expected that a few PAX might be saving their legs up for the pain to come in 24 hours.  The plan this morning for the runners was about 4.5 flat miles for a nice mosey and enjoy some time together

The Thang –

YHC shared the route for the morning with JAG and Sir Purr – down Oakland, left on Cherry Road, left on Alumni Drive and then meet in front of Tillman for a quick recovery and recite the Pledge of Allegiance and then back up Oakland and finish with a cool down on the aptly named JAG loop in Old Town.  Altogether we got in right at 4.5 miles and enjoyed some great conversation and fellowship.  Thanks men for the push and the pull.  We got back to the fountain right at 0600 and the riders arrived shortly thereafter and we closed with a few announcements along with prayers and praises.

Hog & Coyote is tomorrow and I always enjoy this CSAUP.  It was my first F3 post 3 years ago and I grateful that Samurai convinced me to come.  I’ve made great friends and developed great relationships since that time and I’m grateful that he convinced me to come.  If you know somebody in your life that needs what we have and enjoy, encourage them to come out.  If you know somebody who hasn’t been out in a while, give them a call or a text & encourage them to come back out.  Again – looking forward to tomorrow and I’ll see you in the Gloom

Thanks Sir Purr for the opportunity to lead today – it’s always an honor

Ponytail out –
