Eight of us learned today that it doesn’t take a lot of exercises to get a good workout. Here’s what we did:
- 10 Burpees
- 15 Merkins
- 20 Squats
Started at the Commons, did the above, then ran to the Alumni Drive. We used the large circle courtyard in the middle of campus for our running portion. We repeated this series 6 times, ran back to Commons, and finished with the Burpees, Merkins, and Squats. We recorded about 2.5 miles total
TClaps to Rasta for performing about 10 rounds of the circuit today. He came in ready to rumble this morning. Great work, brother!
There’s an African proverb I like to share on occasion: If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, to together. Today’s Weinke was designed to keep us close. Because the workout was difficult, it was important to keep eyes on your brothers. The reasons were twofold: 1) makes sure everyone was doing okay and 2) makes sure we didn’t quit. This was a reminder that we can always do more when people challenge us. Don’t quit on yourself and don’t let your brothers quit either. We are stronger together.
