Sweat fest at NAM

    • When: 9/9/19
    • QIC: Ponytail
    • The PAX: Ponytail (R), Red October, Big Mac, Kingpin

4 HIMS of the Rock Region gathered this evening at Night at the Museum to sharpen iron and get better.  It was a very muggy evening especially after a pre run by YHC.  At the appointed hour we gathered to begin the fun.  We started with the warm-up which included SSH, IW, HW, Cherry Pickers & Merkins.  With a good sweat already going YHC explained to the PAX that we would be headed over to the school and on the track for the workout

The Thang –

Once we finished the warm-up we headed out of the AO and crossed the street safely and headed to the front of the school.  Along the way we did a set of Toy soldiers, Butt kickers & high knees and finished with a mosey to the front of the school with the hill – more on that later.  Once we made it to the flag pole in the front of the school we did a set of ATM’s – alternating shoulder taps / tempo merkins / merkins (a real crowd pleaser).  Once we finished those, we headed over the short brick retaining wall and did 2 sets of leg lifts x 20 leading each leg followed by a set of Irkins / Dirkins / Dips.  After a quick 10 count we headed over to the grass area and did a set of Maktar Ndyiae’s and Knee-tar Ndyiae’s (surrenders).  Then we partnered up and did a modified BOMBS workout.  Partner 1 ran up the steep hill in front of the school while partner 2 did the exercise then switch.  All the PAX did a great job on these and encouraged one another greatly.  Once we finished those we headed over to the flag pole and used our 10 count for a Kingpin led Pledge of Allegiance.  Next we did a short mosey to the back of the school and assumed People’s chair on the wall at the far end of the football field for a set of overhead claps and head-shoulders-knees-toes for a great leg burn.  Next we headed down to the track and did a lap around the field staying together and encouraging one another.  After the lap concluded and a quick 10 count time was running short so we moseyed back to the AO and finished right on time.  All in all we got in about 2 miles and a full body workout.  Great push by all the PAX and great job pushing & pulling one another!

We concluded the evening noting that the days were getting shorter and the setting sun provided some relief from the heat.  We shared a few announcements along with praises & prayer requests

Thanks Pac-Man for the opportunity to lead this evening – it’s always an honor to do so
