Personal 2020 Goals

Thank you to the 4 PAX who showed up to Camino del Rio on this beautiful gloom to share in some great fellowship and awesome fitness. It was an awesome time and if you miss it, well, you missed out. Thank you to Gauge for allowing Slow Pitch and YHC to lead this morning.

WARMUP

We began the morning led by Slow Pitch with the following in cadence: Side Straddle Hops, Imperial Walkers, Peter Parker Peters, & Burpees. We then took a mosey toward the BMX Track stopping at every 5th light pole for 5 burpees.

THE THANG

Once we arrived at the parking lot of the BMX Track Slow Pitch led us in an exercise he brought from F3 Raleigh called 7’s 11’s. Starting at one end of the parking lot performing 11’s with Merkins at one end and Squats at the other. The twist was to stop halfway through for 7 LBC’s each time you pass the center mark. This was some great time to fellowsip together and talk about Gauge and his not making it out this morning (Slow Pitch and YHC have discussed what was said so he is fully aware of the discussion). This exercise took us to 0730 and he handed it off to YHC.

Since Slow Pitch had mentioned he was going to have some coupon work, but we didn’t have time, YHC felt we shouldn’t leave it out. We began by grabbing a coupon and performing the following: curls, tricep extensions, overhead presses and squats. Then we took a mosey and once we stopped, we did the same and added in coupon rows. Then we took a mosey and once we stopped, we did the same and added in coupon big boy sit-ups. Then we took another mosey and perfomed 6-count manmakers with our coupons.

Then we headed over to the BMX Concession stand area for a round of, go figure, Irkins, Dips, Step Ups, Derkins all in cadence.

With about 10 minutes left to go we began our mosey back to the COT again stopping at most of the light poles for 5 burpees at each one. We did a lot of burpees today.

Once we arrived at the COT we did 10 more 6-count Burpees just for fun. This was a great morning with a great number of PAX. It was awesome to have Newton out for his first Saturday morning workout.

After our Burpees at the COT, YHC shared the following: YHC encouraged the PAX in attendance to determine their 2020 Fitness, Fellowship & Faith Goals and write them down. I also encouraged them to tell those goals to someone else so they can have someone hold them accountable. What I didn’t tell them is that in a couple of days I will be reaching out to each one who was here this morning to make sure they have made the goals.

All PAX said they could think of some things off of the top of their head, so I am sure they will have some to share.
