Blast from the Past in the Rain

Thank you to the 3 PAX who showed up to ManU on this wet & rainy gloom to share in some great fellowship and a little suffering. It was an awesome time and if you miss it, well, you missed out. Thank you to Socrates for allowing YHC to lead this morning.


We began the warmup with a short mosey over to the end of Manchester for some cover and began with the following in cadence: Side Straddle Hops, Imperial Walkers, Low Slow Squats, Peter Parker Peters, Merkins, and 10 6-Count Burpees.


After the warmup we took a short mosey around the parking lot where YHC explained to the PAX abut a workout from the past (somewhat). In the workout from the past, YHC had set up 4 pain stations at the four ‘corners’ of the pond at Manchester Park with multiple exercises listed on them.

Today, we ran up and down Manchester stopping at the entrances of 4 stores to attempt to keep as dry as possible. The PAX were to mosey down the building stopping at 1st store mentioned during the warmup mosey to perform the first exercise on the sheets brought by YHC, and then move on to the next store and perform the first exercise, and so on. Once the PAX arrived at the last store and had completed the exercise, they were to mosey back to the starting point at the other end of Manchester and perform the shelter exercise until the 6 had made it back.

The exercises at the stores were as follows:

Round 1: 20 Merkins, 20 Lunges (10-Each Leg), 20 Carolina Dry Docks, 20 LBC’s.

Round 2: 20 Diamond Merkins, 20 Jump Squats, 20 Pike Presses, 20 V-Ups.

Round 3: 20 Burpees, 20 Low Slow Jump Squats, 20 Mahktar N’Diayes, 20 Big Boy Sit-ups.

The exercises at the shelter were as follows:

Round 1, Dips; Round 2, Mike Tyson’s; Round 3, Burpees.

Once we finished this we performed the following in cadence: Merkins, Peter Parker Peters, Squats, Lunges, Carolina Dry Docks, and Jump Lunges.

We then took another mosey back to the COT to finish the morning.

Fantastic work was put in by all PAX in attendance today. It was raining, but it didn’t seem to matter to these HIM who showed up to support the Site Q and YHC. Thank you for being there.

After arriving at the COT, YHC shared the following: YHC took this NMM from Ponytail after a recent TRUEbadour trip and discussion:

Each man in this circle (and in our Region) has special gifts that he has been entrusted with by SkyQ. Each of us have been called to be a part of F3 for various reasons that are specific in nature. Each one of us at some point feels that the Region could be better in some way. Each man has opinions on how things should be done or organized. Each man sees areas that could be tweaked, added to, or even removed that would, in his opinion, make the Region a better one.

The challenge I have for you today is to look in the mirror later this morning and ask yourself, ‘What can I do to make this Region better and how do I make it happen?’. If you have been given gifts, and you have opinions on how things could be better, then what are you doing to make those changes happen. Whether it be talk to someone in leadership about it; share your concern with other brothers in a graceful way; or more importantly, leading the way to a better Region.
