We moseyed to the front side of Popeye’s Restaurant for what I’ll call a Round Robin of Abs and Arms.  Pax lined up along the curb in front of the restaurant and each was given a disc golf disc with a prescribed exercise written on it.   One at a time each pax took a turn running down the ramp, around the backside of Popeye’s and back up the other ramp while the remaining pax performed their prescribed exercise.  When the runner returned, everyone shifted to the right to complete the next exercise while the next runner went out.  In all there were 14 different exercises (7 ab and 7 arm).

We then moseyed to the parking lot in front of Office Depo.  We paused for a couple minutes while I spoke about the origins of this AO.  Petra was founded on Friday, July 24, 2015 and Matthew 7:24 was the Bible verse used as the basis for the name.  The verse reads, “Therefore everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts on them is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.”  Jesus referred to Peter as The Rock. At an early age I decided to make Jesus my Rock.  Jesus is universally represented by the cross.  I am calling this next routine The Cross.  Start at the center of the cross and do 5 burpees or 10 Bobby Hurlies, to the head of the cross and back to the center, foot of the cross and back to the center, to the left and back to the center and to the right and back to the center.  Do the 5 burpees or 10 Bobby Hurlies every time at the center of the cross.

We moseyed to the wall at the end of the plaza for some people’s chair and Shoulders, Knees and Toes.  After a short break, we did my version of the hot wing contest, Balls to the Walls for as long as you can hold the position.  JAG is still the reigning champion.

We moseyed back to the AO where JAG led us in the Pledge of Allegiance.

We closed out the morning with the COT.

As always, it is an honor and privilege to lead.  Thank you for the opportunity, White Hat.
