Poppins, with encouragement from Kenyan got us promptly started at 5:15 and bypassed the usual SSH warm-up for a mosey to Manchester Meadows. While we did some warm-up exercises, we discussed the August 13th birthdays of famous historical figures: Ben Hogan and Fidel Castro.
We moseyed to the parking lot where we were taught about the important historical events: Establishment of the Manhattan Project and the fictional Super Serum of Captain America and the Winter Soldier. We did some Toy Soldiers, lunge walks, etc. as we made our way to the center of the park. Next we did 18 reps of dips, step-ups, box jumps, etc. That is one rep for each Manhattan Project site (including two sites in Canada).
Next up were BOMBS. We partnered up and one ran the length of the parking lot while the other did Burpees Overhead claps, Merkins, Big Boys (or LBC’s) and Squats.
We finished by moseying back to the COT for a round robin Ab Lab.
Great mumble chatter was had discussing history, because that’s the only important subject in school.
We have a lot of brothers that need prayers: Family members struggling with addiction, job layoffs at places of employment, etc. so keep your fellow PAX in your prayers this week.
