Give Someone Something to be Thankful For

    • When: 11/23/20
    • QIC: Reborn
    • The PAX: Gold Plate (R), White Hat, Lego, Gatorade, Water Boy, Money Bags (R), Kenyan (R), Schrute, Bashful (R), Reborn

Thank you to the 9 PAX who showed up to Independence on this cool gloom to share in some great fellowship and a good old fashioned bootcamp. Thanks to Toot Toot for allowing YHC to lead this morning. Great work was put in by all PAX in attendance and the mumblechatter was high, which is awesome. After the F3 disclaimer was given YHC led in the warmup.

We began the warmup with the following in cadence: Side Straddle Hops, Imperial Walkers, Low Slow Squats, Peter Parker Peters, Merkins, and 10 6-Count Burpees. About this time the PAX from Old Town showed up for a mini-convergence.

Then YHC had everyone run over to one corner of the east side of the parking lot for some lucky 7 of Diamonds. Everyone was told we would begin with one exercise performed at each corner in multiple of 7’s. Once each person finished a round, they were to head back for the 6 and finish the round with them.

The exercises and reps at each corner were as follows: 7-Burpees; 14-Merkins; 21-Carolina Dry Docks; 28-Bonnie Blairs (Single Count); 35-Jump Squats; 42-LBC’s; & 49-Flutters.

At this point we took a short stroll over to the covering of Dinkins Hall for a round of Irkins, Dips, Step-Ups & Derkins.

Once we finished that we headed back to the COT for the completion of the NMM, Announcements, & Prayers.

Fantastic work was put in by all PAX attending today to support the Site Q and YHC. Thank you for being there and doing your best.

As we begin our week of Thanksgiving, I must ask are you able to be thankful today? This has been a tough year, but I am sure you have many things to be thankful for. For the most of us gratefulness should always abound as we are blessed in many ways.

However, as Ponytail said in their visit from Old Town this morning, there are many who don’t feel the emotion of gratitude during this season. So, between now and the end of the year, make it a point to be a HIM and give out of your abundance to give something to someone to help them become grateful.

Ideas are doing chores for a neighbor or even someone you don’t know (TClaps to the HIM who helped out neighbor in need yesterday); talk to three people today and thank them; encourage a worker who is doing a great job and tell their manager; etc. There are so many things we can give others hope through encouragement.

Being thankful is one way to provide peace in your life. Bring peace to someone else today by giving out of your abundance.

And let the peach of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful.  – Colossians 3:15
