“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”
‭‭1 Thessalonians‬ ‭5:16-18‬ ‭ESV‬‬

In the midst of this pandemic, it is tough to rejoice always, pray without ceasing and be thankful in all circumstances, but we have to understand that these aren’t suggestions, but commands from God. They also aren’t commands to make us miserable, but are designed to guide us to God’s best for each of us. Our circumstances can affect our happiness, but they don’t control our joy. Our joy comes from the Lord, not our circumstances. Our circumstances teach us who we are depending on…God and His perfect plan or ourselves and our strength. May we choose wisely in the midst of this pandemic and in any and all circumstances and trials that come our way that don’t seem ideal. God has a greater plan…the question is…do we believe He is good and perfect or do you believe your own strength and goodness is enough. Choose wisely because we will always fall short and God will not.
