Casting your burdens aside

    • The PAX: Ponytail (R), JAG (R), Anchor Bar (R), PCH

4 HIMS of the Rock Region gathered today at Final Verdict, the new running AO to grab some pre New Years Eve miles and P200 training.  There were no FNG’s present so a brief disclaimer was provided and the route was laid out with a reminder to have fun, run hard & take care of the six.

The Thang –

The route today was as follows – Head up Main St towards Planet Pain and take the back entrance to Meadowlakes II and head back to Main through the Crossing.  R on Main and back to the AO with a detour through the York Government Complex.  The route was hilly and covered about 5 miles.  A few got in about 6+ going back for the six.  All of the PAX gave great effort and the mumblechatter & conversation was great.  Once back at the AO we closed with some light stretching to end a great morning in the chilly Gloom

YHC shared the following verse –

Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.  Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.  For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.

Matthew 11: 28-30

2020 has been a year of many challenges and obstacles and cancellations, however it’s also an opportunity to grow in faith.  It’s all about the perspective and pursuit of Peace, the word of the month for December.  Personally, I have enjoyed the word of the month for December and reading verses and scripture on Peace.  The verse from Matthew reminds us that we can cast our burdens on our heavenly father and find rest for our souls – Peace.  If you are carrying burdens talk to a brother, your shield lock and turn to Christ & he will give you the Peace that passes all understanding.

We closed out the morning with announcements along with prayers and praises –

Thanks Anchor Bar for the opportunity to lead today – it’s always an honor to do so –

Ponytail out –
